I wish I would have snapped a photo yesterday when we got home, but it was late and the boys had to get ready for school. Anyway, what an awesome trip at Meijer. The sale flyer didn't look too good until I started matching up coupons! I ended up getting 60 items for 57.87 and that included tax and a 6.00 Star Wars toy for Alex. My break down:
4 gallons of milk (after discounts I paid only 1.00 for all 4-- so excited on that savings!)
10 packets of Koolaid 2.00..(love those free kraft coupons- get yours in the August issue of ALL YOU- on stands at Walmart)
1 Kraft salad dressing - free
1 crystal light..free
1 Ketchup 1.00
1 bag O'salad 1.00
2 lbs of grapes 2.61
3 boxes of Eggo Waffles 1.15 each
4 cans of spaghetti O's 2.00
6 boxes of Poptarts 8.00
5 boxes of Jello pudding (kraft item) 3.34
1 bunch of celery 1.00
1 box of cookies for lunch boxes 3.00
3 Family size boxes of Wheat thins FREE -kraft coupon
13 BOXES of Cereal 26.60
3 pkgs of Socks
1 Backpack
OK-- at Meijers if you bought 10.00 worth of nabisco crackers or cookies you got 10.00 OFF 3 pkgs of Fruit of the Loom- So I got 3 pkgs of Socks for a total of : 1.95
and if you bought 3 boxes of post cereal you got 3.00 off a gallon of milk- PLUS I had 1.00 off 2 boxes of post cereal so basically I got 6 boxes of cereal and 2 gallons of milk for 11.00 - great deal. Plus from the Kelloggs insert from 2 weeks ago if you bought Eggos and poptarts you got 2.00 off a gallon of milk PLUS those coupons stacked with the regular Eggo and poptart coupons that I had. I had a great spaghetto coupon for 40cents off of 2 cans- that doubled, so I was able to get 4 cans of Spaghetti O's for only 40 cents TOTAL! That will be a great food drive item! I even had Doug and Nick do their own seperate transaction, because Meijer will only double the first 2 coupons. I can't believe we got spaghetti O's for 10cents a can! AWESOME.
I had a total of 31.43 in coupons - Non coupon savings, i.e. the socks deal, milk deal and backpack deal- that was a total of 34.48!
We are stocked on every kind of breakfast item there is, have enough milk to last a week or so, have some charity food drive items, picked up fresh fruit, snack crackers, school socks and other goodies. Whew-- How can I top this trip???? Wait till I hit CVS and Walgreens... LOL!
